Budgeting projects for 6-8 graders.

1.0 Imagine your life in 10 years. Visualize your dream job. Bring your dreams and math skills and learn about creating a budget so you can imagine doing the things you love and paying the bills. Explore salaries, get advice from a real life financial planner, and learn about the cost of living around the country. Is Starbucks every day in your budget? How about an adventure vacation? Come play around with numbers and learn some important life skills about managing your money.

Weeks 1 & 2:

Goals:
1) compare how debt grows across time and across two companies
2) compare how compound interest earns you money
​3) fill out the spreadsheet with your calculations
​4) create a presentation with your information
